Inspiration

Place-shaping requires vision, creativity and technical skill.  It understands how places evolve. It addresses land use, investment, infrastructure, built form and environment and then molds the setting for the daily life of the community through design.

At Kangaroo Bay, long vacant valuable waterfront required a vision for its future providing an opportunity for Inspiring Place to demonstrate the full extent of our place-shaping skills.

Outcomes

As lead consultants we motivated our multidisciplined team to devise a bold master plan that identified locations for vibrant activity nodes linked by shared paths. We then established the planning scheme framework and urban design guidelines needed to direct future design.  With these procedures in place, we helped make the area the valued visitor and leisure destination it is today through design of stages 1 and 2 of the master plan ($1.5M of works).

We are proud to know our work has guided the millions of dollars of investment in infrastructure and open space development that continues to today as new stages of development occur.
